The Past and Present   is the Beauty of life

 

John and Kristine purchased thier Newville, PA historic property in 1997 prior to his retirement.  They had fallen in love with the historical features of the structure, especially the two cast iron and glass fireplaces in the living and dining rooms.

Little did they know what was in store for them…

It took over two years to completely renovate, repoint, repaint, RE-EVERYTHING in the house.  The bank barn was ultimately used to establish the shop that they named OldeHome.

Kristine’s mother, Katharine moved in and the three decided to renovate the entire barn as a gift and antique shop.  It was open and thriving for several years until Katharine's battle with ovarian cancer forced them to close.  Their love of the business and relationships with the community fueled the decision to start the website and sell on Ebay.  

 

Now,  years after Katharine's death, Kristine has decided  to reopen the store online and update it with treasures galore. John and Kristine moved to Hockessin, Delaware in the fall of 2017 and are excited to share thier treasures with this area. 

 

As for the name of the website:   Her love of finding the “WOW” factor was nurtured by her mother in Cape May where she was raised.  She is committed to finding  the “WOW”  as you read this now.  Thank you for browsing our website along with our history and memories.
